The 2016 General Election will perhaps be the most important election of our lifetime. If there was ever a need for Bible-believing Americans to assert their voice through the electoral process, being accountable with the freedoms and liberties God has given us, 2016 would be the year.
In 2012 we witnessed 50 percent of Evangelicals simply stay home when it was time to make a statement of their faith at the ballot box. It was pivotal in that, by default, we surrendered our Christian responsibility to that of an observer. If freedoms come from God and He rules over all the affairs of men, it only reasons that as God’s people we are to be a witness to His truth everywhere we can. This includes at the very least, to vote and how we vote!
Perhaps there was immense frustration at the choices we had; or the negative narrative of today’s media created a disgust that arrested the will of God-fearing, Bible-believing Americans. We must not allow this narrative to intimidate us again or else the lot will be cast and America could very well loose her freedoms liberties that we all agree were given by the very God we serve. He has given His people the responsibility to safeguard them by being a voice of truth to our neighbors, city, state and nation.
I am a member of Faith Baptist Tabernacle in North Highlands, California, and have been engaged in the political arena since the early 70’s; previously serving as an elected member of the local parks & recreation and school Boards, as well as an appointee to numerous statewide and local Boards and committees. I currently am elected to the Rio Linda/Elverta Community Water District and to the Sacramento LAFco (Local Agency Formation Commision). Additionally, I was my Party’s general election nominee to the State Senate for District 6.
My recent essays are designed to provide Biblical principles by which any Bible-believing individual may obtain insight on how to approach the many given issues that we are facing as a nation.
The essays have been compiled into a book, Biblical Wisdom for the 2016 Elections – 26 Essays of Critical Importance and 17 others that matter.
This timely work will provide you insight into numerous issues and compel you to cast your vote based on an informed, Biblically-based narrative – pleasing God and not man or political party.
Some of the timely articles are:
- HAS THE U.S. DECLARED DE-FACTO WAR ON ISRAEL BY OUR STANCES/POLICIES?
- THE CHRISTIAN’S DUTY TO “PRAY,” “FIGHT” (ACT); AND “WARN”
- CHRISTIANS AND POLITICS: CAN WE DO THE LORD’S WORK THROUGH OUR POLITICAL INVOLVEMENT?
- CHRISTIANS, KNOW THE PARTY PLATFORM OF THE POLITICAL PARTY THAT YOU SUPPORT AND HOW ITS TENETS LINE UP WITH GOD’S TEACHINGS.
If there was ever a time for America to depend on God for clear and concise answers, that time is now!
